<reviewbody>The mere fact that the Grateful Dead were not about the music, but about magic through music. During a performance, there may have been 4 or 5 pinacle moments of the best euphoria. These points may have only lasted for a few seconds at a time but the charge that was given is still everlasting. Dark Star Orchestra has that ability. I have seen them several times and it was proven to me that they can truly duplicate, not only Dead music, but the magic as well. Those pinacle points when the band and the audience are one...so much that the noise level hums with roars from the audience, yet the moment seems silent; its very unexplainable. This show performed by DSO is outstanding. From Alabama Getaway to Brokedown...simply AMAZING. This group has a true gift...they are magic replicators, and thus the magic is still very much alive...indeed. The moral: Gerry would be proud.
